About Christopher B. Hamilton
Chris Hamilton is a seventh generation Washingtonian who was raised in Chevy Chase, MD and attended area schools and churches. After graduating from University of Maryland, he began his career as a news photojournalist. His news profession took him all over the Washington Metropolitan area and to many of the areas finest neighborhoods, houses and buildings. In twenty years in the news business, he dealt with demanding clients who expected top quality work delivered on time in all kinds of political, international and social climates. His multiple credentials and security clearances were necessary for him to get a first rate product ready when it was called for, sometimes with little to no advance notice. He has a reputation for working successfully with all kinds of celebrity figures, with both easy and demanding temperaments. He not only needed to know what would please the quite particular demands of the reporters and journalists in front of the camera, but also what would create an interesting and realistic visual story for the public. He took pride in using his sense of aesthetic composition, technical expertise, and his “people smarts” in producing a professional product whether in a driving storm, on the sides of a political protest, or in the Oval Office. He lives with his wife and four children in the neighborhood of Sumner. He is an avid golfer, tennis player, and runner-logging 5 to 7 miles on an average day--usually on the Capital Crescent Trail. In short, the transition from news photographer to real estate agent has been a seamless one as his first goal has always been to look out for his client’s needs first and foremost, while also being able to see the big picture.
